love inside
me sometimes feels
i have
more within than mostas the stars they wink and the
moon smiles just for me
the
crimson light at dusk
of the
days’ sun, so too, wavesin its departure as if familiar
while displaying a veil of gold
onto curdled cotton figures
soaring across the sky azure
a wind gusts friendly, lifting
skirts
of trees as they swaywhilst my feathered friends
hang on to barren arboreal tips
whistling for my ears to hear
soon the
autumn’s russet dress
around
its shoulders weara shawl knit of white,
a cold vapors breath
moon beams make glisten
the winter’s night and the gray
shadows ask to join me in the dance
Wonderful write :)
ReplyDeleteThere is majesty and magic in this wonderful poem - finding comfort in the cold and being open enough to dance with it...
ReplyDeleteLove bursts out of the first stanza of this poem, Marcoantonio.
ReplyDeleteI really like the picture of winter in the final stanza...a nice 'dance' with words!
Nature draping her in various colors offering a dance...love it...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and inviting! My favorite image:
ReplyDelete"a wind gusts friendly, lifting
skirts of trees as they sway"
but I love the entire tome of the piece where so much grandeur makes some stillness seem "curdled" rather than whole. Love!
"ask me to join them in the dance"....and the reader is transported along with you, through the beauty of your words.
ReplyDeleteNature, no matter the season, colors us with her ever changing hues. Wonderful write,

Great idea that this is all a dance. Nature constantly moving, and you with it.
ReplyDeleteOh wonderful to dance in the cold with birds who sing regardless of the season. So much magic in this, just a majestic tenderness.

Nice expression of feelings and emotions absorbed in bright as well as in grey colors too. True feeling of life balance.
