a tiny stone
sits all alone amidst large rocks
and giant trees
comes a small child
picks it up in his tiny hands
smiles finding it pleasing
he tosses it into
a cool wet stream
this tiny stone
for a moment was not alone
it rode the wind
and felt a wet cool
the child felt
joy when the tinystone skipped more
than twice
no longer did this
tiny stone feel it was alonein the largeness
of all around
someone noticed it
if you see a tiny stone
sitting all aloneplace it in the palm
of your hand
smile at it
set it back
its world and
so too
your universe
so too
your universe
aww. a sweet moment of connection we all need.
ReplyDeleteYes, mi amiga. sometimes we forget that all this is not just about us. we must be reminded that if but for a moment recognize the existence of what and who is around us we will have diminished their isolation but in return witness our 'connection'.
ReplyDeleteGracias mi amiga for visiting and more importantly leaving a comment
I love this. It goes along with the teachings of the Old Ones that everything is alive - including stones. Loved it, my friend.
