~choose joy to be kind~

it is moments like these where our hearts, our spirits

sit together and share and reminiscence, about our sad,

our joy and hopefully we will focus on the nostalgia

of joy

for if the flower would hang out only when the mist

and grey hovered, its colors would not be as brilliant

its stem would not be as sturdy, and its stoma would

not flourish to feed the bird and bee

if the seas would wave, only, to the the moon at night

then the osprey would not soar and dolphins would

not jump, play and skip o’er glistening ocean white

caps under the gold rays of the sun

and so remember this moment of choosing joy in

lieu of the memory of misty grey, for our choice will

grasp our hand and lead us not astray, from this

moment on, toward kindness of our fellow ‘man’

~will my spirit remember~

once again, mine eyes closed but cannot sleep

too many rambling thoughts and images of laments

and wishes, faces that i can no longer touch gently

with my fingertips, those who i can only imagine are

missed by hearts scorned, those lost by cancers and

wars

when time comes that my body decides it’s tired

of Lifes’ woes wishing to rest for eternity, will my

spirit who has witnessed love while residing in its

mundane shell, remember the titillation, the flutter

of its heart and the deep breath sighs felt when

touched by Loves’ fingertips?

~i am of stardust~

i shall follow the moon and the stars for they are more reflective of who i am. the moon gathers its light from the stars and they in return seemingly glitter with joy because their light has somewhere to behold. for in the darkness of space their light evacuates, otherwise all would bathe in light in lieu of the noir of night~

i shall miss the mist~

a grey mist hovers o’er the trees and there’s still

verdant fields this morning, the first week

of December, as the beginning of this Winter

has arrived without the frigidity and the

abundance of snowfall

as the incarnate shell that houses my spirit gathers

more years of bumps and bruises, my psyche has

been challenged with the conflicts of life and my

heart has felt the lament of solace and sadness,

the tears and the joys

my stay here has witnessed many Winters, then

Spring times, warmth of Summers then colors of

Falls, and once again Winters that weren’t so gentle

as this one, i am grateful to this gift of ‘life’ and

the years accrued in my sojourn

so as i step out to be witness to this winter mist rising

from the verdant fields, i feel and embrace the cool

and the grey upon my skin and bones knowing that

when it is time to depart from this, i will miss the mist

and so too, Life’s melancholy joys
